Standards

As part of the progression tracking, standards have been used to gauge one’s performance level and more importantly, to track the process. We have developed these standards to help students to track their process.

Pistol Standard

To earn the DDP Guan Yu Patch you must pass these four standards in one of my classes. They must be done in this order and consecutively.
All standards are from concealment. If not concealed, then the following will be added to your time:
any holster no retention – Add .10 seconds.

(Time is 2.00 add .1 for total of 2.10)
ALS + SLS – Subtract .1
ALS Only – No extra time added

1. One handed
   • Strong hand or weak hand only
   • 3 yards
   • 3 shots to the COM Alpha or the “A” zone of a standard IPSC target
   • Par is 2.5 seconds
2. 7y 1 Shot
   • 7 yards
   • 1 shot to the COM Alpha or the “A” zone of a standard IPSC target
   • Par is 1.0 second
3. Bill Drill
   • 7 yards
   • 6 shots to the COM Alpha or the “A” zone of a standard IPSC target
   • Par is 2.0 seconds
4. Transitions
   • 5 yards and 2 targets 1 yard apart
   • 3 shots into T1, perform a emergency reload with a slide lock, 3 shots into T2 COM Alpha or the “A” zone of a standard IPSC target
   • Par is 6 seconds

Rifle Standard

1. Multiple Targets
   • Place T1 at 5 yards, place T2 at 10 yards and 1 yard to the right of T1, place T3 at 20 yards and 1 yard to the right of T2
   • 2 shots at T1 head box (3″x5″), 3 shots at T2 and 3 shots at T3 COM Alpha or the “A” zone of a standard IPSC target
   • Par is 4.5 seconds
